FREE seed collecting is on offer this weekend as part of an open gardens event.
Hall Farm at Harpswell will be open from 10am-5pm this Saturday, September 1, and Sunday, September 2, for the National Gardens Scheme.
The garden, owned by knowledgeable gardeners Pam and Mark Tatum, has a huge range of plants within its one-and-a-half acres, incorporating mixed borders of trees, shrubs, old roses and unusual perennials.
There is also a sunken garden, pond, courtyard garden, walled gravel garden and orchard – and a short walk takes you to an old moat and woodland.
Hall Farm can be found on the A631, one-and-a-half miles north west of Caenby Corner, and admission is £3.50.
Teas and plants will also be on sale. For more information visit www.hall-farm.co.uk .
