Dickens and comedy unite in the fog

What the Dickens? comes to Tealby Village Hall

An inventive and gripping comedy takes to the stage at Tealby Village hall this Saturday, November 24.

Be astounded as three actors, playing more than 20 roles in 80 minutes, deliver the fast-paced fin and thrilling action play What The Dickens? The Misadventures of Charles Dickens.

Brimming with unfeasibly quick costume changes, stupidly surreal characters and wonderfully daft jokes, this is probably the most absurd contribution to the Dickens bicentenary you could hope to see.

Young Charles Dickens is a rookie reporter on The Morning Chronicle.

While investigating the foggy slums of Ye Olde London Towne, he accidentally stumbles on a story that could make his reputation.

Expect a world of pockmarked pickpockets, cobwebby convicts, teeming slums and empty marshes, dark secrets and convoluted plots, and lots and lots of fog.

Tickets for the production from Gonzo Moose cost £10, £9 in advance, under 18 £5, from Tealby Village Shop, 01673 838718 or 01673 838571.
