Country fair goes bigger and better than ever

This year’s Brocklesby Country Fair is gearing up to be the biggest and most successful to date with loads to see and do.

Now in its 28th year, the event, held on Sunday, June 23, will feature a host of new areas and a fresh focus on getting the public involved in country sports, as well as introducing them to local suppliers.

The beautiful surrounds of the Brocklesby Estate is the perfect location for the event. The fair prides itself on celebrating country living and all that comes with it. Visitors will be invited to have a go at a wide range of sports, including fishing, shooting and archery. Some lucky visitors will even get taken on an adrenalin-pumping ride in a 4X4.

The Main Ring programme is full, with an exciting mix of falconry by Ben Potter who is including vultures in his display this time. The Stampede Stunt Company will be the headline act performing their Tournament of Champions Joust and their new Gulliver’s Carnival Spectacular.

With the introduction of the new Covered Market Place, this year will bring fresh opportunity for local Lincolnshire producers to promote their products and meet up with existing and new customers.

Visitors will be spoilt for choice with all the hand-picked, high quality food and drink on offer including Tom Wood’s Beers. Also new this year is the lakeside picnic spot where you can open the car boot and have your own HQ in a gorgeous setting close to both the country sports and the new countryside ring.

The latter will play host to a Terrier Show where members of the public can enter their own dog on the day. The British Carriage Driving Society will be holding showing classes, and there will also be fly fishing demos, ferret racing and gun dog displays.
