A fully restored print of Terrence Malick’s 1979 masterpiece Days Of Heaven, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful films ever made, will be screened at Louth Film Club next week. Set in the early 20th Century, the film stars Richard Gere and Brooke Adams as a young couple looking for a way out of poverty, working for a farmer (Sam Shepard) in the wheatfields of Texas. Days Of Heaven, Certificate PG, will be screened in the Playhouse Cinema at 7.30pm on Monday, October 29. Non-members are welcome.
