‘MURDER, greed, corruption, exploitation, adultery and treachery - all those things we hold dear to our hearts’.

So begins the international award winning musical Chicago, which comes to Grimsby for one week only next month.

Based on real life events back in the roaring 1920s, nightclub singer Roxie Hart shoots her lover and along with Cell Block rival, double-murderess Velma Kelly, they fight to keep from death row with the help of smooth talking lawyer, Billy Flynn.

Part of a national tour, Chicago stars Ali Bastian as Roxie Hart, Stefan Booth as Billy Flynn, Tupele Dorgu as Velma Kelly and Bernie Nolan as Matron ‘Mama’ Morton.

Chicago starts its week run at Grimsby Auditorium on Monday, June 11, with nightly performances at 7.30pm until Thursday, June 14, and then two performances - 5pm and 8.30pm - on Friday and Saturday.

Tickets range from £14.50 to £33, with an opening night offer of two for one.
