Chicago blues head to Hope

CHICAGO-style blues begins the regular fortnightly blues sessions at The Hope Tavern in Holton le Moor.

The first band to appear is the Paul Evans Trio, described as one of the country’s most experienced and talented blues band trios around.

The Paul Evans Trio has grown in its own right, with more 60 years of cumulative experience, taking electric garage blues to a different level, capturing the spirit of Sixties Chicago blues players like Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Elmore James, making them one of the best raw blues bands in the UK.

Led by ‘King of Slide’ Paul Evans on guitar and vocals, with a back-up of jazz and blues bassist Jake and songwriter, producer and performer on drums Adam, they are a powerful and entertaining act not to be missed, especially by those lovers of Chicago-style blues.

The session starts at 4pm this Sunday, January 22, and the door charge is £6.
