Caistor Male Voice Choir is busy getting in fine voice ahead of a busy season of music.

The choir is currently rehearsing some new pieces for their December programme, which begins at Middle Rasen this Saturday, December 1.

They will be performing in the Methodist Church at 7.30pm and the programme will include traditional male voice arrangements, together with a selection of Christmas pieces.

Tickets for this event, which includes a buffet supper, are available from Alice Surfleet on 01673 843256.

On December 20, the choir will be performing in Caistor Parish Church at the Christmas concert, which starts at 7pm.

In addition to the Male Voice Choir, this Christmas event will include items by the Caistor
Ladies’ Choir, the choir from Caistor Primary School, the Grasby Scouts and others.

This is always a very popular concert, getting everybody fully into the Christmas mood.

Tickets cost £3.50 and are available on the door or in advance from Caistor Post Office.

Refreshments are served at the end.

The choir came into being in 1925, rising from the ashes of the old choral society, and is always on the look out for new members.

So if you are looking for a New Year’s resolution why not give singing a go.

Practice nights are held on Monday evenings in Caistor Methodist Chapel, from September to April.
