A VETERAN of the vintage blues music scene is interrupting his major tour to appear at the Hope Tavern this Sunday.

The regular blues sessions at the Holton le Moor venue witnesses another step up with the appearance of Big Boy Bloater and the Limits.

A firm favourite of Jools Holland, Imelda May and Mark Lamarr, Bloater will be bringing his unique brand of dark blues, swamp soul and twang to the Tavern and is sure to mesmerise with his powerful vocal, enviable guitar skills and dark, entertaining original songs.

His unique and powerful style has thrilled audiences from London to Las Vegas, and his performances have built an enviable profile and following.

Bloater has played guitar with modern artists like Paloma Faith and Imelda May and continues to be a much sought-after session player, as well as being the guitarist of choice for many visiting 50s blues, R&B and R&R legends.

The concert starts in the Tavern at 4pm and the door charge is £7.
