BEST-selling author and radio TV personality Gervase Phinn regularly packs out theatres up and down the country.

And now he is putting on a charity evening in aid of Holy Rood Parish, at Market Rasen’s Festival Hall on Saturday, March 17 – St Patrick’s Day.

The priest at Holy Rood Church, Fr Tom Breslin, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Gervase has kindly agreed to do this evening for us.”

The parish – which serves the rural Catholic churches of Market Rasen, Caistor, Hainton and Osgodby – is in desperate need of funds.

The bar will be open from 7pm to 11pm and there will be a raffle and book signing session with Gervase.

Tickets are £15 per person and include coffee and cake. For tickets, send a cheque payable to Friends of Holy Rood to An Evening with Gervase Phinn, c/o Sheila Douglas, Holy Rood Catholic Church, King Street, Market Rasen, LN8 3BB.

You must include a stamped address envelope for the return of your tickets.
