THIS month’s exhibition at Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre takes a different look at lettering.

Lettering artist Mick Paine produces text-based art works for exhibition and commission, and his calligraphy exhibition will be on display at 28 Plough Hill until August 29.

“I am particularly fascinated by the limitations of language - how ultimately working with words can lead to confront that which is beyond words,” said Mick.

“Words, texts, fragments of texts, legible and barely legible writing or even just abstract marks that resonate in some way with our profoundly rich and important written heritage, are fundamental elements of my work.”
