To mark Adult Learners’ Week, there was extra help on offer at Market Rasen Library to encourage people to get on-line.

The library offered hour-long sessions of tuition to get the basics of using the internet and discover the wealth of opportunities available.

And library volunteer Shelley Clayton was on hand to show them how it was done.

Former police officer Mick Turner, 80, has been working with Shelley for some time to
assist him in writing a book on investigating murders.

However, it is holiday deals, contact with relatives overseas and family history research that are the more usual reasons for using the library computers.
