Members of the Wragby Handbell Ringers have had a busy festive period.
A return visit was made to Market Rasen Methodist Church at the end of November to join local folk group Da Capo for their Wassail evening.
December 1 saw the group playing at Gunby Hall for almost two hours, when visitors to the Hall toured the building and gardens, but enjoyed sitting and listening to the bells too.
For the second year running, the bellringers were invited to play at Cherry Willingham Nursing Home and they also took part in Wragby’s recent Talent night.
On December 8 as a large group of carol singers crowded round the Christmas Tree in the Market Place to enjoy the lighting ceremony and singing festive songs, the Handbell Ringers, by kind permission of Phil and Diane Ward of The Turnor Arms, extended a warm welcome to everyone to go along and listen to the music and partake in the mince pies and coffee.
Finally, the group played at New Horizons in Lincoln.
It has been a very successful year for the group and they are already looking forward to the New Year when they have bookings to perform again.
