Brigg Lives 1st Responders were the focal point of fundraising at the St John’s Singers Christmas Concert. The event raised more than £200 for Brigg LIVES, but according to LIVES Co-ordinator Chris Darlington it was about more than just raising much needed funds.

“There has been a great turn out and support from local people and we are very grateful for the sum of money raised, but its all about everyone who has turned up having a good time and sharing in the Christmas spirit,” he said.

“The singers do a great job doing that, but we are also grateful for the publicity that makes people in the community aware of what we do in LIVES - we also need more volunteers.”

The singers have become popular locally for their ‘Crazy Gang’ act of music and fun and LIVES volunteers got in on the act, with Dee Harness composing a carol based on LIVES and their Christmas spirit. Familiar favourites such as Away in a Manger and Rudolph got the audience singing too in a splendid night of entertainment.
