St Peter and St Paul Church shone brightly for the eleventh Christmas Tree Festival held over four days with 36 beautifully decorated trees distributed around the church.

The Rev Canon Ian Robinson thanked all the generous sponsors who made the event possible and the visitors who donated money.

As part of the event, children enjoyed breakfast with santa on the Saturday morning

More than 40 children enjoyed beans on toast, before colouring a card and writing a letter to Santa.

Then the excitement mounted as the children waited for the arrival of the great man himself to appear, carrying his sack full of presents, which were handed out by his helper from RAOB Spire Lodge, Immingham.

More than £100 was raised at the breakfast, which will be donated to the Children’s Society, with money from the tree festival divided between the church and St Andrew’s Hospice.
