Grimsby Auditorium is looking for local young dancers to audition for this year’s Christmas pantomime.
Children between the ages of nine and sixteen are being invited to tread the boards and show off their fancy footwork at the audition in the Auditorium next week.
This year’s show will be the much-loved adventure tale Jack and the Beanstalk and the producers, Imagine Theatre, are looking for youngsters who are full of beans and have that extra special star quality to join the cast as the junior chorus.
“The open audition for the children is a great way of getting the local community involved in the production and auditioning youngsters for the panto is always a lot of fun, but also a real challenge as we see so much talent,” said Steve Boden, managing director of Imagine Theatre
“We are proud of the fact we are able to offer all local children the opportunity to perform in a professional production as they can learn such a lot from the experience.
“We are looking for children with the ‘x-factor’ – that something special that makes them stand out from the crowd.
“They need to be bubbly, confident and great dancers who are prepared to work hard as well as having lots of fun.”
The audition takes place next Wednesday, September 17; be ready at 4pm for a 4.30pm start.
And the pantomime runs from Friday December 12 to Sunday December 28.
