Lincolnshire libraries’ summer reading challenge got off to a ‘triffid’ start at Market Rasen last week.

Youngsters went along to have fun making a giant triffid and pick up their information packs, before enjoying refreshments provided by the town’s Tesco store.

Aimed at children aged four to 11 years of age, the Creepy House challenge is for children to read six books over the summer and pick up gifts along the way, including some seriously smelly stickers.

Registering for the challenge is free, just call in at any of the county’s libraries and pick up your information pack at the information desk.
