Artwork on display at Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre this month is by Andi Dakin.
The exhibition, featuring combinations of etchings, lino prints, lithographs, ink, graphite, water colour and enamel paint, is on display until September 2.
Andi said; “When I first saw the exhibition space at the centre I was impressed by the way daylight entered the art gallery through a skyward facing window.
“An aperture to the heavens capping a beautiful architectural shaft, lined with perforated board. Qualities which were not that far removed from my own interests and explorations.
“The library and the display of historical artefacts give the local community a cultural focal point to meet, learn and enthuse about different subjects. As an artist I feel it is important to enjoy the resource of a library and feel the council should be able to retain this facility at all costs.”
Visitor Simon Schofield said: “I am very impressed with the inspirational art work. An excellent exhibition.”
On Sunday August 18 Andi will give an illustrated talk about his art at the Arts and Heritage Centre at 12noon. He will be there an hour before and after the talk to meet and talk to individuals.
