The long-held tradition of pump blessings was carried out in Caistor and North Kelsey, with the help of Grimsby Morris Men.

The village pumps had been decorated for the annual event, which was led by the Rev Andrew Lomax, who explained the importance of water, without which there is no life, and the prospect of being clean by bathing and showering to remain happy and healthy.

A prayer of thanks was given as he blessed the pumps and the Morris men performed several symbolic dances at both
Caistor and North Kelsey.

Donations were collected for the charity Water Aid.
