All in a lather for injured firefighters

FIREFIGHTERS from across the county will be on-hand this month to wash people’s cars in return for a donation to the Firefighters Charity.

As part of the National Car Wash 2012, the firefighters will be cleaning vehicles for whatever money people can spare.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue has a successful track record for running the event - raising more than £6,500 for the charity last year alone.

To help them top that total this year, drive along to one of the local events.

First up is Wragby Fire Station - on Millbrook Business Park, off the A158, Lincoln Road, this Saturday, September 8, from 10am to 4pm.

Then on Sunday, September 30, it is the turn of firefighters at Binbrook Fire Station in St Mary’s Lane, who will be washing vehicles from 10am to 3pm.
