Two orchestras come together next month for the second of this summer’s big concerts at Grimsby Minster.
The concert by Grimsby Symphony Orchestra and Skipton Building Society Camerata - From Poetry to Pipes - on August 10 will see a diverse and dynamic programme of music, beginning with Dvorak’s The Water Goblin, inspired by a poem found in a collection published by Karel Jaromír Erben.
Hannah Mason, currently working with English National Opera, will be performing Elgar’s Sea Pictures and the Minster’s organist and choir master Anthony Pinel will be performing Saint-Saens’ Symphony Number 3.
Funding for the concert is from the BBC arts fellowship program and the Arts Council.
Tickets cost £10 each, with accompanied under 16s free, from 01472 358610 or www.event-tickets.org.uk, .
