A two day fiesta for garden enthusiasts hits Market Rasen this weekend.
The town’s market place will be turned into a horticultural haven for the annual Gardeners’ Market and Craft Fayre event.
Organised by Market Rasen Lions, in association with Steve and Angela of Waltham Herbs at Caistor, the event will see a host of stalls offering a range of gardening gizmos and perfect plants for every type of garden.
Among the specialist stalls will be bedding plants, alpines, herbs, hanging baskets and lavenders, as well as fruit and vegetables.
And to jolly all the shoppers along, there will be some musical entertainment plus hot and cold food stalls to keep everyone sustained.
Meanwhile, in the Festival Hall, local crafters will be selling their wares.
Go along to find that individual present or just treat yourself.
Among the exhibitors will be artistic wood turnings, costume jewellery and fashion accessories, glass and ceramics, as well as artists in silk and cotton.
And keep an eye out for some crafty surprises in the market place too.
Keeping on the gardening theme, a local beekeeper will have a display of local honey and with summer just arriving, many people are thinking about holidays, but even that is taken care of, with information on coach holiday offers.
Members of the Market Rasen Lions Club will be on hand too with a tea and cake stall too, offering shoppers a chance to sit and recharge their batteries.
And for those who want to try their luck, there is the chance to have a go on the bottle stall run by the Market Rasen Friends of St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice.
Go along between 9am and 4pm ( on both days) to see it all.
