Trio of cheques from international funds

Members of Humberside International Women’s Club, which meets in Nettleton Village Hall, has given £366 each to three local charitable organisations - The Forge Project in Scunthorpe, a day centre for homeless and vulnerable people; The Amethyst Unit at Grimsby Hospital, a haematology, oncology and chemotherapy department; and Grimsby Women’s Aid.

Representatives from each of the projects went along to the recent meeting to collect cheques from the club’s chairman Anne-Marie Van den Berg.
