Traditional fun at West Rasen Green Man day

The annual Green Man Day takes place at West Rasen this Bank Holiday Monday, May 2.

Go along between 1pm and 4pm to the Heritage Centre/Village Hall to join in the fun.

As always, there will be the popular plant stall, grand raffle, tombola, cake stall, Poacher Cheese, Willingham Fayre Ice Cream and Maurice Higham with his collection of postcards from the past.

Additional stalls at this traditional village event include Blue River Crystals and Jewellery, wood carvings, home made cards, hot dogs and home-made refreshments.

There will be games too for all the family to enjoy - skittles, Aunt Sally, welly wanging and more.

The Hall was formerly a Roman Catholic School and opposite is a 14th century Packhorse Bridge over the river.

Money raised at the Green Man Day will go towards the annual upkeep of the centre.
