Stunning show earns West End acclaim

The West End came to Casitor Grammar School as sell-out shows of Les Miserables were performed by the students in the town hall.

There were standing ovations on each night and Tony Jewitt, a professional actor, who has had a lead role in Les Miserables in the West End Production, was in the audience.

He even contacted the school following the production to say: ““Wow wee. What a fantastic show.

“The whole cast, crew, musicians etc were fabulous. My wife, Sue, enjoyed it more than at Shaftesbury Avenue, London.

Headteacher Roger Hale said: “It would be invidious to single out any individual member of the cast so I won’t but I will say that there were so many stunning performances that it appeared as if a company of professional actors had invaded our Town Hall.”
