Organised by Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre, the trip takes place on Wednesday, August 31, and, despite being labelled as dads ’n’ lads, is open to all. The coach leaves the centre at 10.30am, arriving at RAF Scampton, for 11am.

The visit will start with a guided tour of the Heritage Centre with its exhibits from prewar, WW2 and the Cold War. The highlight will be seeing the original office of Guy Gibson, Commanding Officer of the 617 Squadron, the legendary Dam Busters, who were based at Scampton. This will be followed by a break for lunch, which can be preordered on booking.

The cost of the trip is £20 adult, £15 under 18s, with over 60s and carers £17
