Riding the Waves in Rasen

As the long summer holidays approach, parents in the Market Rasen area will be pleased to know places can still be booked for a week long holiday club next month.

Running from August 15 to 19, Surf’s Up holiday club is organised by Market Rasen New Life Church.

There is no charge and the club is open to all 5-11 year olds in the local area.

It will be held in the mornings at Market Rasen Primary School, with the gates opening at 10.45am and the fun and games ending at 12.30pm each day.

“Surf’s Up will include all sorts of creative crafts as well as an array of surfing and seaside themed challenges and team games”, said Rhona Sheppard, Youth Development Worker for New Life.

“It’s a great place to make new friends and have fun as we ride the waves in Rasen.”

The club is fully supervised by DBS checked teenage and adult volunteers.

Parents can choose to drop their children off or, if they prefer, stay on site and enjoy a relaxed cuppa and a chat at the parents’ cafe.
