A four-year-old pupil from Middle Rasen Primary School has become only the second child to complete the Bookstart Bear Challenge with Market Rasen Library.
Peter Boryszczuk is a regularly visitor to the library and started the challenge in August last year.
The challenge includes visiting the library a minimum of 60 times and taking out a range of books.
Each visit was stamped with a Bookstart Bear paw print in Peter’s Challenge Passport and along the way, he has also earned a number of certificates.
But the best bit for him, he says, was getting his own mini Bookstart Bear and gold certificate at the end.
“We make sure we come to the library every week,” said Peter’s mum Lisa Heywood.
“The Bookstart Challenge has certainly helped Peter come on in his reading and he has really enjoyed doing it.
“I would definitely encourage other parents to get their children to take part.”
