Join in the final steps of this year's walking festival at glorious Gunby

This year's Wolds Walking Festival will finish in style this Sunday, June 5, with a fun packed family day at Gunby Estate Hall and Gardens.

There is plenty to explore within the grounds throughout the day, with free admission to the gardens and half price entry on offer to the house.

Pick up a trail leaflet any time during the day and 
enjoy a self-guided one-
mile walk to the Ice House Pond.

Three times during the day a member of the gardening team will lead a walk through the gardens - from formal gardens and rose arches to walled vegetable gardens and orchards.

At 11.30am, entomologist Dr David Sheppard will be leading a family bug hunt, while at 12.30pm and 2.45pm, National Trust curator Andrew Barber will be leading a potted history of Gunby Hall.

Those who want to walk further afield can enjoy a seven-mile walk, heading off at 10am, which will be exploring Gunby’s extensive estate and also take in the villages of Bratoft, Burgh-le-Marsh and Orby.

At 10.30am there will another seven-miler, across fields, tracks and lanes on the estate, including a visit to the 17th century Monksthorpe Chapel
