The garden at Pear Tree Cottage in Goulceby is an oasis of colour, with its wonderful mixture of perennials and annuals.

Opening for the first time as part of the NGS is The Stables at Ranby.

The garden has been developed over the last 15 years as a place to sit, relax and look at a variety of trees, shrubs and plants, together with statuary and sculptures.

The many seats around the garden are intended for use and there is also some undercover if needed.

The garden is not really visible from the road and often surprises people who see it for the first time.

It also features a much admired foxglove gate.

The gardens are open from 12 noon to 4.30pm.

Home-made teas are available at both gardens too.
