Coward plays at Horncastle's Lion Theatre

The company will be presenting an evening of one-act plays from the collection ‘Tonight at 8.30’.

Adapted for the screen in 1945 as the critically acclaimed classic ‘Brief Encounter’, Coward’s ‘Still Life’ tells the story of Alec and Laura, two perfectly ordinary people who meet by chance in the refreshment room of a provincial railway station.

In contrast, ‘Hands Across the Sea’ is a fun, fast-paced and farcical comedy, as unexpected guests and endless telephone calls invade the swanky London flat of Commander Peter Gilpin, RN, and his wife ‘Piggy’.

The show opens this Wednesday, July 20, and runs to Saturday, July 23m with performances at 7.30pm nightly.
