A television chef and a film premier will be star attractions at the inaugural Lincolnshire Rural Charities Dinner.
Celebrity chef, restaurateur and broadcaster Simon Rimmer will show guests to the event, to be held at Lincolnshire Showground, how to add innovation and sparkle to everyday fresh ingredients from Lincolnshire’s farms.
Meanwhile a film premiere will feature the work of the four local rural charities: Lincolnshire Rural Support Network, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, Lincolnshire Agricultural Society and Lincolnshire Chaplaincy Services.
All 500 tickets for the fundraiser on Thursday April 10, were sold out within days of going on sale, so the event is currently being enlarged in order to accommodate 100 more guests.
“The support for these four Lincolnshire rural charities has been exceptional,” said North Lincolnshire pig and arable farmer Meryl Ward, chairman of Lincolnshire Rural Support Network.
“As soon as we announced the event it became clear that many people in the county agree with us that by working together, these charities can do something that is much bigger and better than the sum of their parts.”
