Army Cadets from Caistor Detachment spent 10 days of their holiday with 350 other cadets at Lincolnshire Battalion Annual Camp in Ripon, where, alongside the normal training of First Aid, shooting and drill, they took part in walking expeditions, climbing, kayaking and high rope adventures.

During the last three years, Caistor Cadets have responded to the Commandants Community Challenge working with Caistor in Bloom, finally being rewarded this year with the Trophy and a cheque for £500 which will take them closer to their goal of purchasing their own standard.

Cadet Lance Corporal Shelley Barker also marched off with the Best Female Cadet on Camp.

Caistor Detachment parade every Tuesday night at Caistor Yarborough School from 7pm to 9pm.
