Three students from De Aston School are looking forward to a once in a lifetime opportunity this summer.
Megan Quinlan, Emma Drayton (both Year 8, age 13) and Philippa Geddes (Year 10, age 14) all play for the County Girls’ cricket squads and have been asked to attend the England vs Pakistan Women’s cricket match being held in Louth on July 1.
They will train with the England team, act as ball-girls, do a demonstration during the intervals and have the opportunity to socialise with the team afterwards.
Philippa and Megan have also been selected as part of the Lincolnshire U15 cricket team for their match against Norfolk on May 6 and all three of the girls will be playing throughout the summer for their respective age groups.
Megan has also been recognised for her netball achievements.
She was recently awarded the Lincolnshire Satellite U14 Academy Achievement Award and was selected to represent the Academy at U16 level in a regional tournament against four other counties.
