MARKET Rasen and Louth RUFC U13s won the NLD (Notts, Lincs, Derbyshire) Rugby 7s Plate competition held at Spalding Rugby Club on Sunday April 1.

The young team came second in its pool to go through to the plate semi-final when they beat Nottinghamshire side Melbourne B 35–7.

In the final they beat Nottingham Boots Corsairs 21–7.

The team only recently began training for Rugby 7s and this was the first Rugby 7s competition as a squad so they did exceptionally well.
