Charity wants willing athletes
RUNNERS who are looking to compete in the 2012 Active Nation Lincoln 10K race and raise money for a local cause are being urged to put their best foot forward for the Lincolnshire-based charity, Linkage Community Trust.
Some 5,500 people took part in last year’s race and runners of all ages are expected to pound the streets for the 16th annual run, on Sunday, March 25, which takes place on a circuit around historic Lincoln.
Linkage, which provides further education, care and employment services across the county for hundreds of learning disabled people, is looking for own-place runners to take part under the Linkage banner. Head of development, Christine Saxon said: “We shall supply T-shirts, sponsor forms, on-the-day roadside cheerers and handy training hints to those who join our increasing band of sports fundraisers.”
