As the race got underway, Tom got a good start and moved up into seventh place on the first lap.

He briefly held sixth before being beaten back when Kurt Wigley snatched his position.

Tom remained in seventh until the penultimate lap when he moved forward to sixth place which he held to the chequered flag.

Meanwhile Tim began his campaign from 21st position and soon began to pick off the riders ahead moving through to 19th on the opening lap.

He made it up to 15th on lap three but was beaten back to 18th three laps later.

Once again he mounted a challenge for position and became embroiled in a race-long battle for 15th place with fellow Lincolnshire rider Aaron Clarke, who finally made his move stick on the penultimate lap, leaving Tim to bring his bike home in 16th place just missing out on a points finish.

The next round is at Thruxton on July 24.
