Wins for Chapman and Fentiman

There was a win for Market Rasen trainer Michael Chapman last week when Peak Seasons, a 25-1
shot won a 2-mile 110 yard handicap chase at Towcester.

After a recent run of indifferent form the horse clearly acted on the good going with jockey G J Galligan on board. Peak Seasons won at both Leicester and Fakenham in November for the Woodlands trainer and was placed third in a six horse race at Market Rasen in March.

Owned by John Reed, the 10-year-old chestnut gelding has had seven wins from 84 starts under national hunt rules.

It was a good week for the Market Rasen trainer and it was a good week as well for Market Rasen flat race jockey Duran Fentiman who had his second winner of the new turf season.

The former De Aston student won a one-mile race at Thirsk on Lilac Lace, who in fact was winning a fourth race in succession. Sent off at 4/1 the horse is trained by Tim Easterby at his Malton yard.
