Young players from Market Rasen Rugby Club had the opportunity to improve their rugby skills with 10-time English league champions at Leicester Tigers last Saturday.

Players from the club joined Tigers at Welford Road for a Mark Group Matchday Coaching Clinic and then joined a 24,000 capacity crowd for the Aviva Premiership match against Saracens and even managed to follow in the stars’ footsteps by joining a half-time pitch parade.

The Market Rasen group were joined by Tigers player Miles Benjamin for a team photo on the pitch at half-time.

Chris Janney, the Market Rasen under-14s coach, accompanied the group and said: “All the players found it really special to have a training session with Leicester Tigers. It gave us all a fresh outlook on training.

“We were all looking forward to the game, it’s a big day out and we’ve all really enjoyed it.”

Mark Group Matchday Coaching Clinics give young players the opportunity to work with the Tigers Academy and community coaches, picking up tips to improve their own individual and team skills at Oval Park, the Tigers training ground.
