PARALYMPIC hopeful Jamie Carter took to the city streets on Saturday to set a personal best time in the Lincoln 10k.

The Binbrook athlete came second in the wheelchair race, finishing in 32 minutes and 32 seconds, knockin almost three minutes off the time he set last year.

He is now looking ahead to the 2012 season and is competing next in Kingston Upon Thames, where he trains with his coaches Jennie Archer and David Weir MBE, before competing in the London mini marathon, aiming to set another personal best.
