MARKET Rasen racecourse will stage 20 meetings next year.
The National List for 2013 has now been published by the British Horseracing Authority and shows the course’s highest profile and most popular races of 2012 will be run on the corresponding days next year.
Commenting on the fixture list, Pip Kirkby, managing director of the racecourse, said : “I am delighted that the majority of our fixtures, and certainly the most popular ones with our race going public remain in the same place in the calendar.
“We are also maintaining the high number of Sunday meetings, to enable the whole family to come racing.”
The Summer Plate and Ladies Day on July 20, together with Prelude Saturday on September 28 both feature top quality listed races and are in the same place in the calendar.
There will also be two Saturday evening meetings in August once again and the traditional Boxing Day meeting will take place as normal.
The first meeting of 2013 will take place on Thursday January 17.
“Now the list is complete we are starting to work on a number of activities to compliment them - family fun, theme days, music and the like, - and we will make more announcements about our plans in due course,” added Mrs Kirkby.
Meanwhile, there are still four race meetings still to be run in this year’s fixtures list.
The next is on Sunday, November 11 – ABF The Soldiers Charity family fun day.
