A new professional has taken charge at Market Rasen Golf Club.
Joel Kant has taken over from Tony Chester who retired after 42 years in the top job.
Joel - who was previously the professional at a Newquay gold club - has big plans to get more young people involved in the sport.
He said: “Juniors are the future of golf and the golf club.
“It’s a great sport for juniors to play - you can get a lot from it.”
And Joel, who is originally from Grantham, is impressed with the Market Rasen course.
He said: “It’s a beautiful course and the people here are very friendly.
“Everyone’s been very supportive and very encouraging and I’m looking forward to settling in.”
Joel qualified as a professional in 1997 and went to work as an assistant at Belton Woods Gof Club in Grantham.
He moved to Newquay in 2007 where he took on his first professional role.
Joel has always been a keen golfer and his childhood hero was leading Spanish golfer Seve Ballesteros.
Joel says he will be playing golf at regional level once he has settled in to his new role.
He said: “I’m looking forward to getting everything up and running.”
