The horses are set to return Market Rasen Racecourse on Saturday September 28, exactly one month since the last meet.

The Prelude meeting marks the transition between the summer and autumn seasons for British jump racing.

To add to the excitement, the horse that won the £50,000 Betfred Summer Plate in July, Bobowen, is returning to the track with a similar sized prize on offer in the Listed Home of King Size Pools Handicap Chase.

With the two horses that chased Bobowen home in July’s race possibly entering the field, a thrilling day’s racing is on the cards.

General Manager Pip Kirkby said: “Our Prelude meeting is always a popular one as the change of seasons in jump racing is marked in Lincolnshire.

“The quality of the racing is excellent and we’re looking forward to welcoming back jump racing fans for the first time since the end of August.”

Tickets can be booked online at www.marketrasenraces.co.uk or by calling 0844 579 3009. Advanced purchases qualify for a discount of up to 25 per cent.
