A GOLFER from North Willingham has qualified for the Audi Quattro Cup UK Regional Final.
Adrian Bothamley got round the one day qualifying competition, held at Market Rasen Golf Club last Friday, with 36-points.
Amateur lady golfer Alex Robson, from Potterhanworth near Lincoln, narrowly won the Lincoln Audi Qualifier with a score of 40-points in the Stableford rules matches.
More than 70 amateur golfers contested the 18-hole, Lincoln Audi sponsored competition at the Market Rasen GC, Legsby Road, Market Rasen. The top eight finishers now pair up in an Audi Regional Final at the Belfry Golf Club, Wishaw near Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire, on July 14.

5th Simon Elkington (43), from Boston. 36-points (17 back 9)
6th Adrian Bothamley (48), from North Willingham, Market Rasen. 36-points (14 back 9)
7th Ian Lawson (53), from Laxton, Newark. 35-points (19 back 9)
8th Robert Marsh (68), from North Hykeham. 35-points (18 back 9)
Three Regional Finals are staged in July with 16 pairs then contesting the Audi quattro Cup UK Final at Bowood Golf & Country Club near Calne, Wiltshire (14-15 Sep).
Ultimately two pairs representing Great Britain compete in the Audi quattro Cup World Final staged at The Mission Hills Resort in China (7-11 Nov). The Audi quattro Cup, being staged for the 21st year, is the world’s largest amateur golf competition with almost 80,000 players from more than 50 countries expected to compete for a place in the week-long World Final.
