The 16-year-old won the Howard Mulligan Trophy for the best gross score after a round of 77.

* The Open Mixed Greensome was postponed from early May by bad weather and was finally played on Sunday.

The event attracted players from around the county and beyond, but again wet weather prevailed for at least part of the round for most competitors.

Market Rasen’s Graham Dolan teamed up with Sleaford’s Charlotte Robinson to win with 45 points, five clear of J. Morley (Market Rasen) and G. Hunter (Breightmet).

The Rasen pair of Guy Hardcastle and A. Todd (38pts) took third place on countback from Forest Hill’s R. Watts and R. Watts, while home pair R. Johnson and G. Johnson were a point further back in fifth.

* Dave King was crowned Market Rasen GC’s 51 Club champion after last week winning the final of the summer knockout competition.

King saw off the challenge of Gavin Johnstone in the final, while Colin Gayler and Chris Osbourne were the losing semi-finalists.
