Aylestone St James 1st XV 7 Market Rasen & Louth 1st XV 27

A TOP of the table clash at second placed Aylestone St James was on the agenda as the red and greens headed off to Leicestershire last weekend.

The tone of the game was set in the opening exchanges as Rasen shunted the home pack backwards at the first scrummage and Aylestone indiscipline cost them early penalties.

With six minutes gone, the forwards created a good attacking platform that allowed the backs to put winger Chris Green in the clear to open the scoring.
