SUPER Speedtrack Racing has its second meeting of the year at Irby in the Marsh on Sunday, May 29.
It is a special meeting started in 2003 to remember David Nix, a Wainfleet club rider from Carrington, who tragically lost his life in a speedway accident at Kings Lynn in May 2002.
And our region is represented in the 250cc class, the hardest of the solo classes to ride because of the power of the two stroke engines.
It is led by two Ex British Champions David Knowles from York, and Adam Shipp from Norfolk, which on there day would be hard to pick a winner.
But Mickey Allen from Kirton-Lindsey again proved that he is getting better with every ride and Ricky Scarboro and his son Lewis of Wragby are also hot on their heels.
The meeting will also support a small group of youth riders from six years of age to 16 also riding for the David Nix Memorial Trophy.
Racing on Sunday starts at 1.30pm with practice at 12 noon. With a 40 race programme the day will finish at 5pm.
The venue will be off the B1195 Spilsby to Wainfleet road signposted from the A52, A16 and A158
