It was a busy month for the ladies section of Market Rasen Golf Club.
Laceby Manor Golf Course was the venue for 42 Ladies for the day organised by vice-captain A Todd.
The course was in excellent condition but several golfers had problems with water hazards and returned with fewer golf balls in their bags.
But the golfers were fortified with bacon baps before playing and fresh fish and chips were a welcome, delicious treat at the end of the day.
Prizes were awarded to J Parker (Ladies Captain) who scored 40 points, J Holborn second with 36 points and H Grinham third with 34 points.
The winning team, who altogether scored 78 points, was J Parker, B Chard and S White.
A Todd successfully drove both the fifth and 14th green claiming nearest the pin on both holes.
The Australian spoons competition saw V Sullivan and M Dixon come first with 35 points, with P Neal and W Harrison second on 34 points and R Ross and J Holborn third with 32 points.
Ronnie and Margaret will be travelling to Matlock on the June 3 to represent the club in the next round.
The Abraham Trophy was another win for V Sullivan, who continues to play consistently well and has had her handicap reduced to 20.2,
In second place was S Scott scoring 37 points and, after a count back, third place went to S Archer, who scored 36 points.
