Japanese rider Ryuichi Kiyonari will hope to tack a strong finish onto a disappointing season as the British Superbikes Championship reaches its finale this weekend.

The Market Rasen-based rider will be seeking three strong results in the three-race season finale at Brands Hatch to boost his points tally.

This time last year Kiyo was expecting to go head-to-head with Shakey Byrne for the title, but a heavy crash during qualifying left him sidelined with a badly-broken collarbone to wipe out his chances of lifting the trophy.

This year he has been struggling with injury and bike problems and is floundering down in 18th place. But three good points finishes could move him up the order.

The weekend begins with two free practice sessions on Friday at 10.15am and 3.15pm followed by a third session on Saturday at 9.35am.

The three-stage qualifying laps begin at 12.45pm ahead of the first 20-lap race at 3.45pm.

There is a 10-minute warm-up on Sunday morning to check all is well with man and machine for the final two races of the 2015 season.

Race one is scheduled to go off at 12.30pm with the final race at 4pm to be followed by the championship presentation.
