Fresh from his race at the Suzuka Eight-Hour race Japanese rider Ryuichi Kiyonari heads to Thruxton for round seven of the MCE British Superbike championship this weekend.

After his poor showing at Brands Hatch last time out Kiyo, who lives in Rasen, hopes to be back to his usual competitive self and up at the front of the field chasing for the win in each of the two races.

Australian rider Jason O’Halloran, who has also made his home in Market Rasen, will also be contesting the Thruxton races.

After Brands Hatch he is now lying fifth in the championship and is aiming to maintain his place in the top six who will progress to the end-of-season title shoot-out.
