CHILDREN and young people can take advantage of a new sports session starting in Wragby this week.
Badminton sessions will be held every Thursday, from 6pm to 7pm in Wragby Sports Centre and normally cost £2, but the March 1 session will be offered at just £1.
Aimed at those aged 7 –14 years, the sessions have been designed to introduce individuals to badminton, or improve existing badminton skills. All abilities are catered for.
Rod Tyler, Regional Officer for Badminton England, said: “This is a great opportunity for young people to learn to play badminton, or to improve existing skills, within an organised and social environment.
“There’s no membership fee and payment is on a pay as you play basis so it doesn’t matter if you can’t attend one week. Qualified Badminton England coaches will also organise and coach the session.”
Sessions have been set up by Lincolnshire Active Community Network (LACN).
